Carbohydrates in 6 major nutrients (basic)

hi guys. Today I want to tell you about carbohydrates which we must have for living.

1. What is carbohydrate?

Carbohydrate is one of the 6 major nutrients which a body must need.

Here is the information of 6 major nutrients
https://chefslaboratory.blogspot.com/2019/04/6-major-nutrients-for-body-basic.html

We always eat bread, rice, fruit, vegetable, and juice, etc. These all belong to

carbohydrate. When our body has carbohydrates in a stomach, we can not use right away.

The stomach will decompose the carbohydrates for using it, because cells of

carbohydrates are really huge to use themselves.

When we eat steak, we also slice steak to make it a bite. It is the same thing.

Our bodies only use the smallest unit of carbohydrate.

I want to show you the process when carbohydrate gets decomposition.

*Our body only can use Monosaccharide.

2. Features

  • The first source of energy
A body uses carbohydrate as the first source of energy. If the body has not enough

carbohydrates to use, then it will look for protein or fat to use.

  • Carbohydrates are changed to glycogen
If you spend carbohydrate to live but left, then the carbohydrate will be saved

in a liver after the carbohydrate is changed to glycogen.

We can use glycogen when there are no more carbohydrates to use and

when we need a lot of energy, for example, weight lift.

The glycogen also can help a heart when it suddenly stopped.

If the body wants to use glycogen, it must be changed to glucose first.

  • A brain must need glucose
If we have 2000Kcal a day, then a brain spends almost 20% of the calories.

A brain only can use glucose which is one of the smallest units of carbohydrate.

If you feel dizzy or too sleepy, you can try to drink juice or fruit to supply

glucose to the brain. It should work.

  • Dietary fiber
Everyone knows dietary fiber is really good for diet and health.

A stomach cannot absorb nutrition from dietary fiber, because it is not food, so it means

0kcal. Dietary fiber just stay in our large intestine and makes our feces bigger and

softer, so we can do bowel movement easily, and the dietary fiber also comes out with

feces.

  • Help to make a muscle
When you work out hard, you must need carbohydrate to use, because basically

carbohydrates are your first source of energy.  If you do not have enough carbo

while you doing work out, your body will use protein instead of carbo.

As you know when we work out, the muscle got damaged and cracked and fill the

space with protein. This process must need protein, and if you already spent protein

to work out, then no more protein to make a muscle.

3.  How to eat

I recommend you to have carbohydrate 4-5times of your weight a day.

So if my weight 90kg, then eat 360g-450g of carbohydrates, but the number means

the real carbohydrates. If you have 360g of bread, then the bread would have

carbohydrate by almost 180g, then you have 180g of carbohydrates, not 360g.

When you are in a diet or working out, then try to have 2-3times of your weight.

No carbohydrate is not a good way to lose weight.
